"This year would have been my 3rd yr homeschooling. We sent our 2nd grader and kindergartener to ps this year. We also have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old at home. This past summer, when I stopped nursing, postpartum depression hit. It took a while to…"
"By the way, not all ps kids are brats and lazy. Homeschools tend to see in only black and white. I AM a homeschool mom and we are a homeschool family. But this is what we needed to do for this season. I tried my best until I broke and the family…"
"I have not read any of the other responses and I hope I don't get banned from THL. I totally get what you are saying!
My son just started 2nd grade this year but this year he is in ps. He is being pushed beyond where I could. He does feel the…"
"I have had mine for several years and love it! It is SCOTCH brand. You can get them at Target or Walmart but I got mine on Amazon when it was on sale for $21! I think the regular price is about $30. It has two thicknesses 3ml and 5ml which is for…"
"Do you take vitamins? That is a good start. I can't help but say also that, yes, homeschooling is exhausting! There is so much to do and it is never ending. It is unrelenting.
I know you have heard it before but try to cut something out and…"
I can relate to your situation. I have serious health issues and homeschooling
is tough. I've been wondering how long I can continue on. I'm sorry for your loss of
your homeschooling this year, but I pray that God…"
I am a SAHM. It is the best job in the world. Someone once said, choose a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life. That is how I view motherhood. My other interests are pastel painting, all sorts of crafts, snuggling up with a book, anything outdoors, and sunshine and warm days, lots of it!
I can understand why you deleted the discussion- it did look like it was getting heated which is why I wanted to chime in myself. I sort of agree that it's questionable, especially considering that the man behind it is supposedly an atheist. However, the Brick Testament can still be used for good- if it provokes curiousity about the Bible and inspires our children. I believe that you can find the Nativity book I mentioned in the Shop section of the website link you posted. I found our copy at a local Barnes & Noble bookstore.
I wanted to reply to your discussion on The Brick Testament. I had it all typed out and when I tried to add my comment, the whole discussion seemed to have disappeared. I wanted you to know that I found a Wikipedia article about the man behind The Brick Testament. Though it appears from that article that he may not be serious about the Bible, it can inspire others to do something more accurate. We actually own The Brick Testament Nativity book. My son loves to pull it out at Christmas and it even inspired him to create his own version of Lego Bethlehem that we display in our home with the other Nativity sets. Anyone who plans on showing the website to their boys should definitely preview it first, and sit with your child to clarify anything. As I said, perhaps it may encourage your children to do something on their own. My son's Lego Bethlehem is quite sweet and we love it.
Thanks for adding me, we've seen each other around the lounge I wished I had more time to check many of the nooks.
I am glad you like the rolls; they are a favorite of my two youngest as well, the grand kids think they are like candy
As far as I can tell, Sharon, we're not supposed to put any of our own links in the posts themselves but can have one in our signature line. I think Debbie had a link to the THL guidelines on her post. Sorry I'm not of more help :0
when you are looking at the settings to change the appearance of your page you have to click on the "all options" tab.
In the "colors" category it will say "side image" "none" well click on that and upload your own pic from your computer. ...click done and then save and ...that's it!
thanks for the friend request.
