Should I start lessons on Monday or not? I was planning to start on August 4, but now that the children are finished with swimming, they seem to be having trouble finding things to do. I would only get two days done next week because the HOTM conference is next week and I want to listen as much as I can.
So the question becomes: Do I start a bit early and get two days done, or do I wait and start the following week?
I have mixed feelings about it. I am excited to start the new year, and looking forward to spending more time with the children. I am also sort of feeling reluctant to give up some of my summer free time. I have a few things on my list to do next week, but I could still do them even if we did lessons on two days. It would get us into the swing of things slowly.
I like the routine that regular lessons keeps us in, and I miss that during the summer. However I like the ability to play spontaneously during the summer--both with the children and without. What to do?
I think I may post this as a discussion to get some feedback from all of you.
