HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
I'm so glad to be free from resolutions. I stopped making them about 4 or 5 years ago. All they do is set you up for failure. I used to always make some ridiculous resolutions that I would fail starting on the very first day. Then I would feel awful.
Now I set PRIORITIES and make GOALS. My goals come out of my priorities.
So here are my 2009 PRIORITIES
1~ GOD (without Him I cannot do the things I'm created to do)
2~ MY HEALTH (without my good health I have nothing to offer others)
3~ HUSBAND (he is a part of me - after the kids are grown will our marriage still be strong?)
4~ CHILDREN (they are the gift God has given me with the responsibility to raise them for Him)
5~ HOME (I have been blessed with a home and need to show good stewardship in caring for it)
6~ FAMILY AND FRIENDS (these extra blessings in my life need to be nurtured)
7~ MINISTRY (beyond my other responsibilities I will seek my God-given gifts and use them to minister to others)
God has revealed to me that I have been mistaking fear and low self-esteem for humbleness. God has a plan for my life and I need to seek it and live it out.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
