CAREFULLY. THESE TERMS OF SERVICE GOVERN YOUR USE OF THE HOMESCHOOL LOUNGE AND
ALL SERVICES OFFERED THROUGH THE NETWORK.
These Terms of Service - "TOS" apply to all users of the The Homeschool Lounge. By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of these TOS, as well as the Community Guidelines, which are incorporated by reference into these TOS and made a part hereof.
THIS IS A WEBSITE FOR HOMESCHOOL MOMS, HOMESCHOOL GRANDMOTHERS, AND SOON-TO-BE HOMESCHOOL MOMS, OFFERING THEM A POSITIVE AND INTERESTING ENVIRONMENT WHERE THEY CAN CONNECT WITH OTHER MOMS, SHARE INFORMATION, MAKE NEW FRIENDS AND DISCUSS ISSUES OF MUTUAL INTEREST. TO USE THIS SITE AND THE SERVICES OFFERED, YOU MUST ABIDE BY THE TOS AND COMMUNITY GUIDELINES. USE OF THE SITE AND THE SERVICES IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
WE DO NOT ALLOW MEN OR MOMS THAT ARE JUST CURIOUS, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO ARGUE OR DEBATE ONES REASONS FOR HOMESCHOOLING, THIS IS A SAFE HUB FOR ALL HOMESCHOOL MOTHERS!
If you own, moderate or contribute to another social
network, forum or group and/or are trying to promote another social
network, forum or group on The Homeschool Lounge, please contact The
Homeschool
Lounge (THL)
for approval prior to joining or posting such sites. If you do not have
approval before joining or posting such sites and/or found creating, promoting
content for an unapproved site, spamming our membership with invitations and
unsolicited emails or any other activity on THL that violates our Terms of
Service, you will be immediately and permanently banned from our community.
Each Lounge Sister has the ability to advertise their independent business on
their "Nook" on THL. However, we do not allow mass emails to
individuals or groups nor do we allow advertising your business on others Nooks.
We want each Lounge Sister to be successful and so we do provide specific areas
for you to promote your business.
The homeschool Lounge is a spam-free community. We define spam as creating,
sending or enabling anything that constitutes or contains "chain
letters", "pyramid schemes", "unsolicited emails",
"unsolicited invitations", "unsolicited promotions" and
"any advertisement that you are prohibited by law or by these TOS from
sending to any member of our community". However, should you receive spam
from anyone, immediately forward or copy and paste the spam message to
The
Homeschool Lounge
so
we are able to shut down anyone who tries to spam our community.
All content that you post to The Homeschool Lounge must comply with these TOS and the Homeschool Lounge Community Guidelines. You take sole responsibility for all content that you post on the Site and the consequences of posting that content. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary rights to upload, post and distribute the content, including obtaining permission from any person shown in a photo that you upload or identified in any writing that you post. You agree that you will not upload, email, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is:
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, edit or remove any content at any time and without notice if we believe that 1. the content violates these TOS or the Community Guidelines, 2. removal is necessary to protect the rights, property or personal safety of THL and its members, or 3. if required to do so by law.
We created The
Homeschool Lounge to provide Homeschool moms with a positive, encouraging, safe
and friendly environment where they can connect with other Homeschool moms, find
support, get advice, give advice and have a little fun with like minded moms.
Rules of Conduct at The Lounge
1) We expect that all
communication, all posts, all comments will be written in the spirit of
kindness.
2) Posts may contain "venting." Please note this in the subject line,
so that those who do not wish to read, "venting" don't have to. We
don't
ever want to hinder a homeschool mom from seeking support, that's what we are
here for but on that note... Lets head on over to number 3 shall we...
3) Please no husband bashing, no children bashing and no form of communication
that would tear down your homes. The Homeschool Lounge is to be an
uplifting, life giving network amongst Homeschool Moms and we want only for you
to be blessed and be a blessing when you visit here!
4) Clearly anti-Christian Groups or clearly contra-Scriptural Groups or posts
will be deleted. The decision as to what that is rests with your administrator.
All are welcome at The Homeschool Lounge, we will never discriminate against any
religion or faith however the majority of the members on The Homeschool Lounge
are happily Christian and this community is not a venue for alternative
doctrinal debates.
5) Don't use any community areas to buy or solicit goods, services, or money, or to advertise or sell products or services to others. Please don't post any advertising, promotional materials, referrals, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any other form of solicitation.
Only post advertisements and promotions in designated areas. The only places on The Homeschool Lounge where it is acceptable to post advertisements and promotions are: Our group for buying and selling of curriculum Member Market~ products made by our own members.
